At Dwight School Hanoi, nature becomes a vital part of learning. The landscape design brings greenery and playful experiences from the ground floor to the rooftop, turning every level into a nature playground that nurtures imagination and independence.
Creative vegetable gardens, green hubs for chats and relaxation as well as sports courts, provide the kids with activities that complement the skills they acquire in the classroom. Those features encourage the students to learn, imagine, discover and play.
Our design won the Architecture MasterPrize 2023, in the Landscape Architecture – Educational Landscape Category.
Inspired by traditional ink-wash landscapes, the design lets vegetation cascade through the four levels of the school like flowing waterfalls — a living painting where learning and nature intertwine.
The concept of play is central to our design, permeating every aspect of the school. From ground-level zones for younger children to more adventurous rooftop areas for older students, each space reflects different age groups and learning stages.
Linked by slides and playful features, these layered terraces create an environment that encourages exploration and social interaction.
