Campo Novo is a multipurpose hub, integrated into the Campogrande area and connected to the surrounding neighborhood on a scale such as has not been seen in Lisbon (Portugal) for a long time: 80,000 sqm of construction above ground.
Its flexible space concept combines housing, retail and offices in the same block and breaks the standard of neighborhood design: 3 residential condominiums, 4 office buildings, an open-air mall with around 30 stores, 15 restaurants, and 7 kiosks, come along with 20,000 sqm of gardens and bike paths.
Next to José Alvalade Stadium, the landscape takes on a more energetic expression through bold colors and playful geometries in the play and leisure areas, creating a dynamic visual rhythm and a sense of movement across the public realm.
The landscape approach focuses on public realm and acts as the fabric that links all the spaces. Its brings a contemporary approach to urban open spaces, using a carefully planned blend of interrelated public, semi public and private outdoor spaces.
Across the 30.500 sqm of gardens and pedestrian routes, the landscape forms a continuous public realm that connects the different uses, scales, and rhythms of the development with the surrounding neighborhood.
