Now also known as the “garden café”, this coffee shop and restaurant were designed on a pre-existing villa in Thao Dien, a low-rise residential area in Saigon well known for its alternative cultural spaces, high-end restaurants, trendy design cafes, and international character.
The garden is a dynamic composition of pentagonal seating cores combined in diverse ways, generating ambiances ranging from the most social to the intimate and private ones. The back part of the garden happens around a water pond that is reusing a previously existing pool. The front part’s main highlight is a big tree planter that works as well as a seating area and main gate, as it is set to move mechanically from the main gate (when the café is closed) to the center of the garden during the opening hours.
